I don't know when people start to look for this sign in stead of looking for "Restroom". By using the sign instead of spelling Washrooms, it's clear and easy to understand as different countries use different languages.
You can find washrooms in all countries without knowing their languages.
Great point Yanni. Signs are definitely an effective solution, for things like washrooms in another country, while potentially lost in translation.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with you. There are so many signs that no matter what language you speak, can be understood, for example the poison symbol.
